Austin Badger papers [manuscript], 1855-1857.

The collection contains Austin Badger's ledgers and financial documents regarding the Union Hotel in Jacksonville, Oregon during the years 1855-1857. Miscellaneous documents include three licences authorizing Austin Badger and Badger Smith to "sell and dispose of Spirituous [sic] Liquors in quantities of less than One quart." Cornelius C. Beekman, long-time Wells-Fargo agent in Jacksonville, Oregon, had a financial stake in the Union Hotel.
